Chanel Diwali swatch and comparisons

Chanel Diwali. Three coats. Nice formula. This is a limited edition nail polish from the Paris Bombay makeup collection.

Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow over Diwali. Two coats.

From left to right: Illamasqua Swinger, Chanel Diwali, OPI Glitzerland, and Orly Luxe. Two coats for Swinger and Luxe and they also had the best formula. Three coats for Diwali and four for Glitzerland. Pinky (left) is Luxe, ring is Glitzerland, index is Diwali, and index is Swinger.

I love gold foils! I also have a few others, but they did not look similar enough for the swatch. I can still swatch them if anyone is interested. Deborah Lippmann Believe, OPI Dazzled by Gold, and OPI Designer...De Better! I also thought I still had Barielle Gold Digger, but I can't find it at the moment. I have posted a swatch of it before here.

Indies: Pahlish polish swatches

Pahlish Train Underwater. Three coats.

Finger Paints Motley over Train Underwater. One coat. I like the green that this added.

Pahlish Sitting in a Tin Can. Three coats.

Icing Mr Right Now. Two coats.

Pahlish Toxic and Timeless over Mr Right Now. Two coats.

Pahlish Toxic and Timeless over Milani Fresh Teal. Two coats of each.

Illamasqua Swinger. Two coats.

Pahlish Sunlight Shooting Through Pine Trees over Swinger. Three coats.

One coat of Sunlight Shooting Through Pine Trees over two coats of OPI Fly. This one reminds me of Chanel Illusion D'Or without the blue glitter. This is one of her underrated polishes yet one of my favorites. Sadly, it has been discontinued.

Pahlish Glittoris. Two coats.

Pahlish Total Eclipse of the Heart over Glittoris. One coat.

Total Eclipse of the Heart. Three coats, but I dabbed to get the glitters where I wanted them afterwards.

Old version of Pahlish Total Eclipse of the Heart. Two coats. This one had curly red bar glitter so it was reformulated. I like it too much to get rid of it, curly glitter and all.

Nails Inc Princes Arcade over Total Eclipse of the Heart. One coat.

Pahlish Bixby Canyon Bridge. Two coats. This is like a upgraded version of Deborah Lippmann Superstar. This has also been discontinued.

Sephora by OPI Don't Be Eggnog-ious over Bixby Canyon Bridge. One coat.

Pahlish Endless Static Sea over Orly After Party. One coat. I've posted this one before and you can see the Orly alone here.

Pahlish polishes can be found at her Etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/pahlish

Funky French strikes again!

I felt like a funky french today. I don't really do them a lot, so this is kind of hard for me to get to look decent. Normally, in my head, everything looks a lot better. Lines are crisp and perfect and the colors look a lot better. Of course, translating that onto the nail is a lot harder. So my apologies for the wonky looking tips. But what I did here was use Illamasqua's Load as a base. I needed 3 coats to get rid of any streaks. Then I layered 1 coat of China Glaze's White Cap on top of load and matted them with Essie's Matte About You. Then I attempted to do some black tips. I free handed them, so...yeah. Sorry again about the tips. Other than that though, I think it looks pretty nice. So, today's nail - funky french.

Well, that's it from me for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're all doing well and having a great day so far :D

It's raining in Texas

OPI I Vant To Be A-Lone Star. Pale blue with silver shimmer. This was four or five coats and a pain for me to work with. I don't like how this looks on me either. I initially bought this because Scrangie's pictures were so pretty, but it looks like a frosty mess on me. Boo.

Illamasqua Raindrops. Sheer blue grey with silver flakies. I've layered this over I Vant To Be A-Lone Star and I actually think it turned out quite well.

Lynnderella Snow Angel

Snow Angel over Illamasqua Viridian

Snow Angel over Tony Moly Earth

Snow Angel by Lynnderella is one of my new favorite glitters. I feel like putting it over everything I'm wearing. There is already a noticeable dent in usage in my bottle! *freaks out*

Illamasqua Elope

Illamasqua Elope

Unfortunately for us state side addicts, this color is not available as a part of the Sephora Illamasqua collection and can only be purchase through their UK website. I had the pleasure of swapping with an international lady who was kind enough to get this for me. Elope is a kelly green jelly and as some of you know, jelly finishes tend to be on the sheer side. So, I did four coats with this one, which I believe it made it a deeper green than it shows in the bottle, but it is still a lovely color nonetheless. The formula was okay, not as good as some of their other colors but still nothing too bad to worth mentioning. It dries matte and pretty quickly.
