Lynnderella I Don't Mean Rhinestones!

Ah, late post today! That Saturday post must have thrown me off :p Anyhow, today I have another Lynnderella from this past Summer's collection, I Don't Mean Rhinestones. I wore this over Nina Ultra Pro's Cobalt. This is one of the new colors in the new bottle. It is such an amazing jelly! I did not photograph it alone because I was in a bit of a time crunch, but next time I wear it, I'll be sure to make a post for it all on it's own.

 Now, this Lynnderella, much like most of the others I've tried from this collection is super dense! So I only did 1 coat over Cobalt. I'm sure if any of you want to wear it alone, you'd likely get full coverage in two coats. But enough talk, let's get to the pictures!

Lynnderella Common Sense

So I know there's a new Lynnderella collection out already (Early Halloween Resurrected), but not only have I not purchased it yet, I know that Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice is still available for purchase on eBay. So I figured I'd post swatches of it whenever I wear it in case anyone is still undecided on whether to get it or not :)

 Personally, I LOVE the collection. So today I'm going to show you Common Sense over BB Couture's Erotic Night. I did 2 coats of Erotic Night and 1 coat of Common Sense. But here's where it gets weird. This glitter is so dense that on my first finger it went on (my pinky), I over did it. You can see, even though I tried to spread it out, it just was too much that I glopped onto there! So my next nail (ring finger), came out ok and the middle finger, too. Then I thought, maybe just a bit more for my index finger and BAM! Too much again. So, my apologies for the uneven application. I would have taken it off and redone it, but then I thought this would be a good way to warn you guys about how densely packed this glitter is!

Lynnderella The Garden of Even

Hello! Today I wanted to show you one of my new favorite combos. Hopefully you'll see why it's a new favorite! For this combo, I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen's Purple Pizzazz with 1 coat of Lynnderella's The Garden of Even over it. This combo sort of reminds me of WnW's Back Alley Deals and Tokidoki's Stellina. Kind of, but this has some extra oomph to it! This was a very, very thirsty glitter. You'll see in the pictures and video that it's not completely smooth even though I did 2 coats of Gelous and 3 of Seche Vite. Regardless, the way this captures the light both indoors and out is just amazing!

Laura Mercier Organza and Nude Peach swatches

Laura Mercier Organza. Three coats. Love the shimmer in this! This is from the new 2012 fall collection and still available to purchase. I bought mine from Nordies.

Laura Mercier Nude Peach. Four coats. It is a bit squishy/jelly looking. This is an oldie and long discontinued.

OPI Deck Your Nails - Ulta Holiday Exclusives

This year OPI stopped the red, gold and purple holiday exclusives and put out a red, silver and pink with multi glitter. Of course, and very conveniently my Ulta seemed to have run out of all the Muppet OPI's, so I couldn't compare A Sparkle Yule Love and Excuse Moi! in store. My suspicions were confirmed once I got home though, they are basically the same color with a different name. So, if you already have Excuse Moi! and you're looking to save money and avoid dupes, you can probably skip A Sparkle Yule Love.

 I also felt like the beautiful silver glitter looked familiar and sure enough, it's extremely similar to Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock. The only one that really stood out to me this year was the red one. Speak For Your-Elf! is a beautiful deep red jelly with tons of micro glitter. It is so sparkly. I'm so disappointed I couldn't capture it on film. This is one you have to see in real life, it's so amazing.

Nothing new, I mean, red jelly with microglitter, sure, you could possibly find a dupe in the BBC line or other ones. In fact, I think this might be similar to China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. But I don't own that to compare. Sorry :( Regardless, it's my favorite of the 3 this year with How's It Snowin? coming in 2nd.

A Sparkle Yule Love next to Excuse Moi!

 In these pictures you can see my comparison of A Sparkle Yule Love (on my pinky and middle finger) and Excuse Moi! (on my ring and index fingers) out in direct sunlight and then in the shade. I did 2 coats of each and honestly, I can't tell the difference.

Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock next to OPI's How's It Snowin?

Next I compared Glamrock to How's It Snowin? At first I thought the OPI might be a tad bit lighter, but it dried a bit darker than it applied. I think their base is similar and they have the same glitter, but the OPI has a bit more glitter in it which can make it look a bit lighter. Or maybe they're the same and I'm crazy? It's very possible, I suppose. They may even be completely different and it'll all come back to me just being a sandwich short of a picnic? Regardless, this is like a silver version of China Glaze's It's Alive. It's the same shapes of glitter, just different color. Same type of glitter as China Glaze's Ring In The Red as well.

 It's really beautiful. But when it comes down to it, the OPI is an Ulta Holiday Exclusive, which means it's Limited Edition and it's $8.50. The Nina is a core color at Sally's. If you're a Beauty Club member, you only pay $3.79 for the Nina Ultra Pro polishes and they're 15ml just like the OPIs. So if you're not too hung up on getting the OPI just for the name, you can get the look for less at Sally's with Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock.

Lastly, today I have for you Speak For Your-Elf! This is such a beautiful color, I can't even begin to explain my frustration out of not being able to properly photograph or film this for you. Believe me when I say that this is so much more sparkly and beautiful in real life!

I'm actually considering getting Ruby Pumps now. If only to compare the two. I'm ashamed to say I've never even seen it in real life. It's always out of stock when I go nail polish hunting. Must be a great color, huh? But then again, I am a sucker for reds. One day it shall be mine. But for now, patience.

CND Pink Wishes

Pink Wishes. Milky pink creme. It was a bit sheer for me so this is four coats. I want to say they were going for a jellyish look since the formula is not what I've come to expect from them. It was patchy at first, but evened out after the four coats.

Pink Wishes Pearl. Pink pearl topcoat. One coat over Pink Wishes. It reminds me of Violet Shimmer. I should note that this set is limited edition. It is very nice and subtle. The effect gives you that extra something if the Pink Wishes color is a bit plain for you.

A comparison of a few pinks that I own. Pinky (left) and ring are CND Pink Wishes. Ring is Rescue Beauty Lounge Lulu and index is Essie Pop Art Pink. This was four coats on all of them.

Deborah Lippmann swatches

Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe. Blue jelly with blue and green glitter. Two coats. Great application. I did not have to struggle to place the glitter at all. I love this one. It reminds me of the ocean. It should have been named Across The Sea! Edit: I think I layered this over a green creme. Revlon Jaded Night possibly.

Deborah Lippmann Good Girl Gone Bad. Burgundy glitter. Two coats and great formula. I have been lemming this one for so so long. I just couldn't bring myself to buy the mini set just for this. I am SO glad they decided to release this in the full size version as a part of the Holiday 2011 collection. It is so sparkly!

One coat of Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire over Good Girl Gone Bad.

Deborah Lippmann Laura's Theme. Orange creme. Two coats and a tiny tiny bit thick. I added a few drops of thinner to mine, but probably not a problem for most people. I am not an orange lover but I adore this one! It is so bright and cheery.
