Finger Paints Fall 2012 Fall of Surprises collection polish swatches

Finger Paints Fall-ing For You. Three coats. A bit on the frosty side. I had to be careful with brushstrokes.

Nicole by OPI Nicole...Spotted! Two coats. Fail. I loathe how this looks. I'm having trouble finding other colors that this looks nice over besides black or near blacks.

Finger Paints Be-Leaf it or Not! Three coats. This one is also a bit frosty.

Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular! One coat.

I also picked up the purple one, Plum Startled, but haven't edited pictures. I've been crazy busy lately which is also why I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I will post them as soon as I can and update this post with a link.

China Glaze Good Witch? revamped

China Glaze Good Witch? Three coats. I purchased the Wizard of Ooh Ahz Collection Returns a few years ago and this was one of the polishes. A huge frosty mess. I decided to spruce it up with some glitter!

OPI Teenage Dream. Two coats. All better! I even like how it looks now.

Sephora Pantone swatches

Sephora Drama Velvet Pearl. Two coats. I had some glitter on my topcoat brush so that is why there are random glitters on this swatch. Boo.

Sephora Burst of Mango Cream. Two coats.

Sephora Torrid Shimmer. Two coats. This was a bit thick for my tastes.

Color Club Calendula For Joy over Torrid Shimmer. One coat.

Sephora Vivid Metallic. Two coats. A bit too frosty for me.

Avon shimmer swatches

More Avon swatches, but now in the shimmer category. Most of them are kind of frosty though.

Avon Cosmic Blue. Three coats.

Avon Decadence. Three coats.

Avon Gunmetal. Two coats.

Avon Lagoon. Three coats.

Avon Romance. Three coats.

Decadence was the only one I remotely liked and even then it seems pretty dupeable.

Oh Barielle...

Why do you disappoint me so?

Barielle had a sale recently, so I decided to pick up a few colors including what I assumed were new colors. I could not find online swatches anywhere. Against my better judgement, I picked them up. They are Brown Sparkles, Pretty Pink, and Gold Digger. Here are pictures of the swatches that were provided on the Barielle website.

They look awesome don't they?! I imagined them to be like BB Couture Kelly Green with specks scattered throughout. Or even something like their Falling Star shade. Brace yourself...

Brown Sparkles, Pretty Pink, Gold Digger

A FROSTY PINK?! Are you kidding me? I don't even know what to say. The sad part is they might not be worth returning since I would have to pay for the shipping costs. *sigh* Teach me to buy before I see online swatches. I suppose Brown Sparkle and Gold Digger aren't bad but not what I was expecting. Just more salt in the wound.

Barielle Brown Sparkle. Bronze foil. Three coats and very nice coverage. The formula is surprisingly nice. Despite my disappointment, I do like this one.

One coat of Kleancolor Tahiti Sunset over Brown Sparkle.

Barielle Gold Digger. Gold foil. Three coats as well and no formula issues.

One coat of Sally Hansen Take The Stage over Gold Digger. I wish this one was not as sparse. I had some trouble getting the hex glitter where I wanted.

Barielle Pretty Pink. Frosty pink. Two coats for this one and strokes galore. Haaaaaaate! Blerg.

And this concludes your PSA against Pretty Pink.

Urban Decay Cult

Urban Decay Cult

Cult is an old old Urban Decay polish from their sadly discontinued line. Who knows why because it is among some of the coveted and gorgeous polishes like Toxin and ID. Sadly I couldn't get direct sunlight pictures of this beauty but she is still gorgeous, these are taken in overcast. Cult is a green foil that reflects gold and doesn't leave you with brush strokes. Application was like butter, it must be the pre-B3F goodness formula. This was two coats and drying time was quick.

I thought Cult seemed similar to one of the polishes in the GOSH line called Golden Dragon. Maybe that would be easier to get a hold than Cult. I will have to do comparison pictures when my nail wheels come in.
