China Glaze Wicked!

Hello! Today I'm excited to show you something I got in the mail on Monday. Last Friday I purchased 4 polishes from 8ty8 Beauty and got them in Monday's mail - Immortal, Cast A Spell and Make A Spectacle. Wait a minute, that's only 3? I know, I'm weak and I got 2 of Make A Spectacle because I LOVE iridescent glitter. I have no regrets!!

I thought about getting the other colors, but decided to wait until I see them in real life before deciding if I want to purchase them or not. Also, the lighting today varies since it was a bit cloudy and the clouds kept covering and uncovering the sunlight. So, there's a lot of pictures today, all take outdoors without flash.

These were such great choices, imo. The formula on Immortal and Cast A Spell was so smooth and applied so nicely! Cast A Spell was a 1 coater! I did two coats because my first coat was a bit sloppy near the cuticle, but there was no patchiness or streakiness at all! Make A Spectacle was really thick and at first applied with some difficulty and bubbles. So, I thinned it quite a bit, let it rest for a few hours and when I put it back on, nice and smooth and bubble free :D If I had a choice between the three, I'd have to take Cast A Spell and Make A Spectacle as my absolute favorites. Who knows if I'll like the rest when I see them in person.

I hope you're all enjoying this awesome Wednesday as it's almost over! Also, just some info in case you're interested in ordering from 8ty8, just click here to peruse their site. I am in no way affiliated with them and I don't get anything if you order from them. I have been a customer of theirs since 2006 and am satisfied with their prices, turn around time and customer service :)

Ulta also already has these out and they're running a Buy 2 Get 1 Free promo on China Glaze. Plus they have a coupon for $3.50 off a $10 purchase that you can print out if you click here, essentially getting 3 China Glaze polishes for $10.50 before tax. If you plan on doing this, hurry because I believe the coupon and the B2G1F expire this coming Saturday!

Sally's is also supposed to be putting these out on or after October 1st, according to what my local Sally's employees told me. So, there's options out there if you want to pick up or see the collection in person and possibly save money :D Until next time!!!

Estée Lauder Smashed and Chaos Metal Mania polish swatches

Estée Lauder Smashed. Two coats.

Estée Lauder Chaos. Three coats.

Pahlish Sullen Girl over Chaos. One coat.

These are from Estée Lauder's new Metal Mania collection. I picked these up at Nordstrom and I do not believe they are limited edition. The formula was good on both of them.

Nicole by OPI swatches

Nicole by OPI Orna-ment For Each Other. Three coats. I love how this is completely opaque with no effort on my part. It is a bit gritty so a few coats of topcoat will be needed. This was from the 2011 holiday collection.

Nicole by OPI Positive Energy Matte. Three coats. The bottom picture has topcoat but it is hard to tell. It is pretty quick drying so I had to work a bit faster when applying. It tends to clump up otherwise.

Nicole by OPI Purple Yourself Together. Three coats. I believe this is a current Target exclusive so do not wait too long to pick up this beauty!

Avon shimmer swatches

More Avon swatches, but now in the shimmer category. Most of them are kind of frosty though.

Avon Cosmic Blue. Three coats.

Avon Decadence. Three coats.

Avon Gunmetal. Two coats.

Avon Lagoon. Three coats.

Avon Romance. Three coats.

Decadence was the only one I remotely liked and even then it seems pretty dupeable.

BB Couture Eye Candy Men swatches

BB Couture Heavenly Hunk. Three coats.

Ruby Kisses Baby Blue Glitter over Heavenly Hunk. One coat.

BB Couture Playboy. Two coats. My favorite from this collection.

NYX Girls Gilded Glitter over Playboy. One coat. Not color accurate but I love this combo.

BB Couture Sexy Centerfold. Two coats.

BB Couture Rustic Romantic. Three coats.

BB Couture Dirty Blonde. Three coats. I found the formula runny and a bit hard to work with.

BB Couture Silver Fox. Three coats.

Overall, I like the women's collection better. The formula on these were on the runny side. Not enough to make me complain like Dirty Blonde, but still noticeable.

Indies: HARE polishes swatches

Halloween 2011: The Creeps

I have two out of the four that were released. The other two are called Bio-exorcist and Heffalumps. You can see swatches and more details about the collection here.

Hare Dead Man's Bones. Three coats.

Hare The Monster. Three coats. This one is pretty gritty and needed a few coats of topcoat to become smooth. I also added thinner to this one because it was really thick and hard to apply.

Spring 2012: Planet Springtime

Hare Asteroid Turf. Three coats. The reason behind the name from Nikole: The name for asteroid turf makes me giggle because one of my best friends grew up with black ASTRO TURF carpet in his bedroom and it was just so weird. I always called it asteroid turf.

Kleancolor Green With Envy over Asteroid Turf. One coat. This one turned the pink glitter orange!

Hare Cosmo Blossoms. Three coats. I really love this one!

Hare Leap Light-Year. Three coats. The big silver square glitters sink, but having the bottle upside down for a while before applying fixes it right up! There are some formulation issues with this one, so it will not be offered in the future sadly.

Urban Decay ID over Leap Light-Year. One coat.

Hare Star Tropics. Three coats. This one also suffers from the sinking glitter and will not be available in the future.

CND Sapphire Sparkle over Star Tropics. One coat.

Hare Twilight Savings. Three coats. The glitter is a little hard to get out of the bottle, but totally worth it!

BB Couture Diamond Dust over Twilight Savings. One coat.

Hare Supernova Springs. Three coats, but probably could have gotten away with two. This one has a very dark purple base.

These next three are the original Leap Light-Year, Star Tropics, and Twilight Savings but the small silver square glitter were a little melty/curly. Nikole was awesome enough to send replacements which I have pictured above. The curling is pretty slight to me so I have swatched them anyways.

OPI Speak For Your Elf. Two coats. An Ulta exclusive from the holiday collection 2011.

Leap Light-Year over Speak For Your Elf. Two coats.

Star Tropics. Three coats.

Kleancolor Blue-Eyed Girl over Star Tropics. One coat. I didn't shake this one up enough so it mostly just gave the look a blue tint.

Twilight Savings over OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam. Three coats of the OPI and two coats of Twilight Savings. I forgot to take a picture of I Don't Give a Rotterdam! Oops.

Hare can be purchased from her etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/HAREpolish
