BB Couture Hands of Hope collection swatches

BB Couture released a limited edition collection a few years ago in which 25% of the proceeds went to the Salvation Army to aid the people affected by the Haiti earthquake. There are six colors and I have three to show you today. The other three are called Tortuga Island, Paradise, and Labadie Beach.

China Glaze Cherry Pie. Three coats. Love glass flecks!

One coat each of Meteorites Fireball and Revlon Slipper. 

China Glaze No Way Jose. Three coats. 

Pretty & Polished Flow over No Way Jose. Two coats. 

China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Two coats. 

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Downtown Rubies over Ruby Pumps. It has been a while since I swatched this, so I can't remember if this is one or two coats. 

Lynnderella Lucky Numbers over it all. One coat. 

China Glaze Atlantis. Four coats. 

China Glaze Strawberry Fields. Three coats. 

CND Translucent Tangerine over Strawberry Fields. One coat. 

Etude House swatches

Etude House BL009. Blue base with very strong green shimmer. I remember first seeing this from MUA and I immediately contacted my friend from Thailand and asked if she could get this for me. Three thin coats and no problems with the formula.

She also sent me a few extras. :)

Etude House GR604. Pale turquoise with silver glitter. The silver really brings this one to life. This was four coats and thick.

One coat of LA Girl Nostalgic over GR604.

Etude House Cool Blue Heel. I do not know the number for this one since mine is not labeled. Blue base packed with silver glitter. It is so sparkly! Two coats and very nice formula. 

One coat of OPI Last Friday Night over Cool Blue Heel. Super pretty.

Etude House Blue Hologram. Light blue with green pearl shimmer. Three coats for this and the formula was a bit runny. The first coat was very sheer and I was surprised it built up to become opaque.

Barielle Karma Collection

I think on the Barille website this is called the Karma Kollection. "Kollection" Really? Let's not go there.

Do Unto Others. Mmmm. Beautiful turquoise creme. I think if i used a thicker coat, I could have gotten away with one coat. I did have to add a few drops of thinner to this before using. It was just a tad too thick for my tastes, but nothing too bad.

Then I tried one coat of CND Emerald Shimmer.

Positive ZEN-ergy. Light grass green with silver shimmer. This reminds me a green version of Butter London's Victoriana. I can say this is unique to my green collection! Three thin coats and no formula issues.

One coat of Deborah Lippmann Today Was A Fairytale.

Soul-er Powered. Golden yellow packed with gold shimmer. The shimmer really made me love this one. It is so sparkly even in low lights. Two coats and perfect! This is my favorite among the colors I picked up from this collection.

One coat of Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow.

Buddha-ful. Blue/green flakies in a beige base. Four coats on its own. It gives it that opal gem look. I love flakies but I can't find myself reaching for this one. The base seems too opaque to be layered over any color without changing the base color so much. My CND Limelight has the same flakie colors and is an almost clear base. I want to say there is a Nfu-Oh flakie with same blue/green flakes that would work as well. I think if they made the base more jelly-like I would have loved it more (like Elle's Spell). I've also layered this over CND Perfectly Bare.

It was really hard for me to capture the blue flash in the flakies, so here is a bottle picture. 

A comparison of Buddha-ful and CND Limelight. Pink and middle (pink is left) is CND Limelight and ring and index is Buddha-ful. These are all one coat over a black creme (American Apparel Hassid). They both have the same color type of flakies but Buddha-ful as you can see, is in a cremey base.

Here is Creative Nail Design (CND) Limelight for good measure. Two coats over American Apparel Hassid, a black creme. There is a small tint to the base, but it is hardly noticeably over black. It is beautiful isn't it?!
