Orly Space Cadet
Orly Space Cadet. Four coats. I know it seems like a lot but it has a thinner formula and builds up really well. Another one of my favorites that I wear from time to time. It has a very nice foil finish and it is a multichrome! This was released in the Cosmic FX 2010 collection. The entire collection was beautiful but this one is hands down my favorite.
Now check this out! I saw this posted over on MUA and knew I had to do the same. This is Space Cadet mixed with white. It blows my mind! I can't believe mixing those two colors together can make something like this. The flecks color shift too. It is really neat. I mixed it with a white jelly so this was four coats. Also, the recipe I used is 2 parts SC and 3 parts white.

Nina Pro swatches
Nina Pro Glamrock. Two coats.
Diana Blue Cubic over Glamrock. One coat.
Nina Pro Mossy Britches. Two coats.
Nina Pro Purple-Xing. Two coats. This one is much less blue. My camera usually does okay with purples but freaked out with this one.
Ozotic Pro 504 over Purple-Xing. One coat. This was so much cooler in person. 504 has a strong color shift and you can still see the glitter underneath.

Had enough yet?
I have another of the color shifting pigments today. I layered the Emerald Green to Violet pigment over OPI's Ski Teal We Drop. As mush as I like how this turned out, I think perhaps it might have been wiser to use a black base for swatching purposes. I say that because it seems like I couldn't get the violet to come out. The most I could do was make this look blurple. But this one goes from green, to teal to blue to blurple.
These pigments are very sparkly, very pretty! I actually have 2 videos because I was so sunblind when I filmed the first one that I didn't realize until I came into the house to check it out that it wasn't very good. So I filmed a second one, this time closer to my nails so that hopefully you can see the changes easier. So here are the two videos.
Also, unrelated, but a quick reminder, tomorrow at Ulta they are having the Butter London Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale. It's limited to 2 per person. Meaning you can buy 2 and get 2 free, so they're limiting each person to 4 bottles total! If you don't have any Butter Londons like myself, this is the perfect opportunity to try out the brand without breaking the bank. Even I can't argue that $7.50 a pop isn't too bad! Well, that's it from me for today! Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and have a wonderful week.

MUS Madeleine and more color shifting pigment :)
Today's main objective was to swatch 2 things. Jan wanted me to make a video using the color shifting pigments. So I did one of them today over black, Copper Red to Green. I also used my other hand to show you another one of my untrieds, Make Up Store's Madeleine. I have to be honest, I'm loving both of these. I usually remove right after swatching and then put something else on, but as of right now, I'm still wearing both of these. I'm mesmerized by the pretty!
But enough chatter, let's start with Madeleine simply because there's less pictures. All of these were taken in direct sunlight without flash. I used 2 very thin coats of Madeleine over 1 thin coat of Make Up Store's Aqua Fix base (it really does make a lot of difference) and no topcoat. Just one picture as a teaser. I'm placing the rest behind a jump so that this post isn't hogging your dashboard :(

What the flip?
ADVENTURE TIME!
Yes, I do watch cartoons. This is one of my favorites. Plus, lately I've been enjoying spending time with my boys as they watch me draw their favorite cartoon characters onto my nails! As promised yesterday, I finished my Adventure Time mani lastnight. Of course I could not get a good enough Princess Bubblegum or Lumpy Space Princess. I even tried Tree Trunks. I failed miserably. So I kept the 3 characters that came out decently imo. Finn, Lady Rainicorn and Jake.

A video in my lightbox
Underneath I alternated black layered with Ozotic Pro 506 and Makeup Store Linnea. Just in case you wanted to see those by themselves, I have a few pictures.

This is my first Ozotic Pro polish. I received it in a swap and now I'm thinking I need more. The multi-chrome effect is amazing! I just can't stop staring at my nails at different angles because it's so beautiful :) Too bad I don't have family in Australia, otherwise I'd be pestering them into sending me more all the time :p
Well that's it from me for today. Next my kids want me to do a Spongebob theme. After my epic failing sessions lastnight I honestly don't want to attempt to draw anymore characters. So I may just do a simple bikini bottom look. Who knows, I may even just do a regular non fancy, non artsy manicure. We shall see. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening!

Some Friday Fun :)
Before I changed my Wildlife mani, I wanted to try something out. So I put Black Shatter on over it. I wasn't too thrilled with the look. So, I thought, how could I spice this up? Flakies! I put 2 thin layers of Nubar 2010 on top of it and despite giving me mild sensory overload, I kinda like it!
I actually had one mom at my kids' school this morning ask me if I had on 'those foil things'. She was a bit disappointed when I said no, that it was in actuality 3 nail polishes. She wanted to know if she could duplicate it herself, so I told her what they were. When I explained to her that they were not available locally, I think she gave up hope. But I couldn't help but smile at the fact that someone else likes it enough to ask me what it is :D

As I stated, these are before I changed them so please excuse the chips and tipwear. Also, no video for those. Sorry. But I think that's it from me for today! I have an awesomely fun idea that I am going to attempt today. Pending the results, I'll probably post it in a couple of days :D I hope you guys have a safe and fun weekend! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!
