Ulta exclusive OPI The Flowers Are Blue-ming! swatch
OPI The Flowers Are Blue-ming! Three coats. This is a limited edition Ulta exclusive polish. It is a bit gritty so a few coats of topcoat will be needed. This is also a dupe for Nicole by OPI Me + Blue. I really miss the days when OPI would actually make new exclusives and not rebottle old colors, although I will take this bottle over the Nicole by OPIs any day.

OPI Deck Your Nails - Ulta Holiday Exclusives
This year OPI stopped the red, gold and purple holiday exclusives and put out a red, silver and pink with multi glitter. Of course, and very conveniently my Ulta seemed to have run out of all the Muppet OPI's, so I couldn't compare A Sparkle Yule Love and Excuse Moi! in store. My suspicions were confirmed once I got home though, they are basically the same color with a different name. So, if you already have Excuse Moi! and you're looking to save money and avoid dupes, you can probably skip A Sparkle Yule Love.
I also felt like the beautiful silver glitter looked familiar and sure enough, it's extremely similar to Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock. The only one that really stood out to me this year was the red one. Speak For Your-Elf! is a beautiful deep red jelly with tons of micro glitter. It is so sparkly. I'm so disappointed I couldn't capture it on film. This is one you have to see in real life, it's so amazing.
Nothing new, I mean, red jelly with microglitter, sure, you could possibly find a dupe in the BBC line or other ones. In fact, I think this might be similar to China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. But I don't own that to compare. Sorry :( Regardless, it's my favorite of the 3 this year with How's It Snowin? coming in 2nd.

In these pictures you can see my comparison of A Sparkle Yule Love (on my pinky and middle finger) and Excuse Moi! (on my ring and index fingers) out in direct sunlight and then in the shade. I did 2 coats of each and honestly, I can't tell the difference.

Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock next to OPI's How's It Snowin?
Next I compared Glamrock to How's It Snowin? At first I thought the OPI might be a tad bit lighter, but it dried a bit darker than it applied. I think their base is similar and they have the same glitter, but the OPI has a bit more glitter in it which can make it look a bit lighter. Or maybe they're the same and I'm crazy? It's very possible, I suppose. They may even be completely different and it'll all come back to me just being a sandwich short of a picnic? Regardless, this is like a silver version of China Glaze's It's Alive. It's the same shapes of glitter, just different color. Same type of glitter as China Glaze's Ring In The Red as well. It's really beautiful. But when it comes down to it, the OPI is an Ulta Holiday Exclusive, which means it's Limited Edition and it's $8.50. The Nina is a core color at Sally's. If you're a Beauty Club member, you only pay $3.79 for the Nina Ultra Pro polishes and they're 15ml just like the OPIs. So if you're not too hung up on getting the OPI just for the name, you can get the look for less at Sally's with Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock.

Lastly, today I have for you Speak For Your-Elf! This is such a beautiful color, I can't even begin to explain my frustration out of not being able to properly photograph or film this for you. Believe me when I say that this is so much more sparkly and beautiful in real life!
Quick Video
I'm actually considering getting Ruby Pumps now. If only to compare the two. I'm ashamed to say I've never even seen it in real life. It's always out of stock when I go nail polish hunting. Must be a great color, huh? But then again, I am a sucker for reds. One day it shall be mine. But for now, patience.
That's it from me for today. Thanks so much for stopping by, hopefully this saves someone some time and money. Have a great day!

Freaky Friday!
So today I'm dipping into my old stash of pictures again. I do apologize. We are expecting guests this weekend so I haven't had time to do my nails.
I did want to show you guys something that just happened in front of my house a few minutes ago. But that after the comparison picture I have for you. Here I'm comparing OPI's Plum Full of Cheer with Visions of Sugarplum. Both Ulta exclusives for the holidays from this past year and the year before.
You can see Plum Full of Cheer is a bit different. VoS has more and bigger shimmer in it but the base colors are a bit similar.
Now, what is up with today? The weather here has been unable to decide if it wants to be cloudy or sunny. And as I was washing dishes, a view outside of my kitchen window showed a vehicle speeding down our street and behind it a police vehicle with the lights and sirens full blaze. The police vehicle then stopped right in front of my house and the officer exited the vehicle pointing his weapon at what I assume to be the suspects they were chasing.
I honestly was too afraid at this point to go outside. So I waited a bit and when I did, there were several other police vehicles, both marked and unmarked.
This honestly is the first time this has happened on our street since I've lived here in 2006. So, the scene was a bit shocking, but exciting at the same time. I snapped a few pictures and took a short video because I'm a tourist at heart. We don't know why the suspects were chased and arrested, rumor has it they were caught robbing someone at gunpoint in a public area and fled the scene. How true that is, I can't be sure. But that's what I heard. Either way, the police seemed to conduct themselves in a professional manner and thank goodness there was no on foot chase through our backyards! That would have been really scary.
So thank you EPPD for doing what you do. Here's the pics and video. And yes our neighbors were gathering around and chatting throughout. Below in the first pic, the blue vehicle with the door wide open is the vehicle of the guys that were arrested.

I also sent these pictures and video to a local news channel, hopefully they'll use them tonight with more details! I'd like to know what exactly was going on.
Well, I'm off to finish preparing the guest bedroom and then to pick up some extra groceries. I may not have time to post next week. I guess it depends on how much time we spend outside the house. Hope you're all doing well and have a great weekend!

Epic Winning and Ulta Exclusives Shimmer Into Summer
Today I have a bit of a peek at the OPI Ulta Exclusives for the Summer collection, Shimmer Into Summer. I say peek, because I didn't buy them all. I only bought one of the 4.
I do however, have some craptacular cell phone pics for you! So let's start with that :)

My thoughts: While I do think they're very pretty, they look very familiar to me. Sort of like a Deja Vu of the Nicole by OPI Gossip Girl collection. Am I right??? Now, I actually skipped on all of the Gossip Girl collection because I only wanted Too Rich For You and it was gone by the time I got to my Ulta.
So this was sort of a chance for me to get it, in OPI bottle form. Now, are these exact dupes to the Gossip Girl collection? I honestly can't tell you yes or no with any certainty. But I think they're very similar if not the same.
So of course, I got 2 other things while there today. Here are some better pictures now of How You Blue-in? along with I Lily Love You and Essence Irreplaceable.
Quick comparison, the only thing I have similar to How You Blue-in in my stash is China Glaze's Blk-Bila-Bong. But they're not really that similar.

And look at how beautiful I Lily Love You is close up. You can click this to make it huge cause I didn't shrink it very much!
Last thing! My NOTD is Icing's Epic winning over American Apparel Hassid. I did 2 coats of the glitter over 1 coat of the black.

Video! So you can see the holo and blue sparklies!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're all having a lovely evening!
