No, not gastrointestinal!!! Government Issue. Not a lot of people know what GI stands for in the military setting. I'm serious, it's Government Issue. Anyhow, back in 2005 when the Army was issuing ACUs to everyone in our unit, I was less than a month before getting off active duty. So, it was a bit of a shock when my unit told me to pick up my new boots and uniforms from supply.
Anyhow, a few days ago I pulled up my ACUs out of a box in my garage and thought to myself, 'I think I have the colors to make this pattern.' I was close, but not really exact. I only did one nail as an accent because I wasn't too happy with the result I was getting. Then when I topped it with some matte top coat, it bubbled :(
But here's the result of that lonely night:
You can see in sunlight that the colors are not exact.
But the night before when I had freshly applied this, I thought, whoa, those colors are exact matches!
So I guess you could say doing your nails at night can make you think you've got something down packed, when in fact it's not :( Regardless, this was a fun attempt at copying my GI uniforms :p
I used OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down The Window as the base color, Sally Hansen Creamy Olive and Sally Hansen Polished Pearl for the designs and Essie's Matte About You for the accent nail.
