Icing Written In The Stars!

Today I have another one of the Icing glitters that I found last week. This one is called Written In The Stars. What sold me on this was the star shaped glitters in it :D I think deep inside we all still have that inner child that enjoys Lisa Frank stationery and cute shaped glitter...or atleast I do. This is a very lightly pigmented blue jelly with both medium sized and small holo hexes and stars. The glitter in this is not very dense and what I mean by lightly pigmented blue jelly is that I did 3 coats of this on my nail wheel and you can barely tell the base is blue and not colorlessly clear. So, it's very lightly tinted I guess would be a more accurate description.

I did 2 layers of this glitter over 1 coat of black and only got 1 star on 3 nails. You might get 1 star on each nail if you're lucky or if you shake the glitter up really well before using. But for the most part, I had to fish them out. I still find this glittery very pretty and fun to look at!

I did want to apologize before showing the pics and video. It's semi cloudy today and the clouds kept passing over the sun, so you can see the light variations in the pics and in the video.

Well, that's it from me for today! It's cloudy and I'm tired :( Does the weather ever affect your mood? It does me! Not that I'm happy about it. But thanks for stopping by, I hope you guys are having a great start to your week and having a great nail day :D

  6. Really pretty, but what is up with the base color the glitter floats in? I saw this one in the store but it seems like it clashes with itself.. I mean, it looks awesome on the nail, yes, but still. I passed on it. I have so many star paillettes and I'd rather just use those up than buy more star-filled nail polishes.

  7. @ Fashion Footing - I think Lisa Frank polish would be every girl's dream! As long as it's not frosty pinks or anything. :p

@ Jenny - Thank you! I hope you're able to find one :)

@ Katie - Thank yout! The stars are what did me in as well :D

@ Yasmin - Hope you find it and love it! :D

@ Rochelle - I agree with you that the base kind of throws it off in the bottle. I expected to wear this alone, but seeing how several layers on my nail wheel gave barely any tint to the base, I figured it'd be best layered! If you already have other star glitters, though, then I'd say you really don't need this one :D

Thank you everyone for stopping by! ♥
