Comparison: Finger Paints Shades of Fall Vs. OPI Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ
This was one of those comparisons that I decided to do after nail wheel swatches. I noticed that these 2 were really close in color on the nail wheel. The main difference being that one (OPI MOLBBQ) has more red undertones than the other. I'm surprised to say that nobody really noticed I had on 2 different colors in real life. I even had one woman grab my hand and compliment the color.
Of course I didn't tell her it was actually 2 different colors, I didn't want to blow her mind! LOL But I think they're similar enough to warrant mention :) Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ is actually one of my favorite 'go to' shades for when I want a vampy red. Nice to know I have something similar in my stash.
Well, that's it from me for today! I've got some hauls I've been meaning to show you all, but I've been too lazy to take pictures. I'll get them snapped tomorrow so I can show them to you, though. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

Ahoy! there, Austin-Tatious Turquoise! :D
Today I'm happy to share with you some new polishes! First we'll start with Austin-Tatious Turquoise! This was the color I was most excited about when I first saw OPI's Texas collection in real life. Of course that enthusiasm soon turned into sadness when I realized that the strong duochrome that you can see in the bottle, is not so visible on the nail :(
Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful color! But it's extremely sheer and just doesn't live up to the expectations one would get from seeing it in the bottle for the first time.
Still, it's very pretty and I think once you get over the fact that it's not going to look exactly as it does in the bottle, you love it for what it is. A beautiful shimmer! Here are a few pictures at different angles. I did try to capture the little bit of purple that does show through at certain angles, but that proved to be more difficult than I thought it would be!

This color reminds me of Pash from the movie Whip It. I think the fact that the story was set in Texas and the roller scenes were supposed to be in Austin as well help me remember that while watching the movie, in almost every scene I was checking out her cool polish colors!!! This was a Drew Barrymore movie, right? Didn't Drew also do 'He's just not that into you' ? I ask because in that movie, Gigi wore really awesome nail polish throughout as well! Hmmm, coincidence???
Anyhow, this color is not that great alone. I wore 3 coats and you could still see VNL :( So perhaps some underwear or use for layering!
Now on to China Glaze Ahoy! This was recently released with the Anchors Away collection. I have to say, this color is AMAZING! There's really not much more than that to say. You really need to see it in person to believe it. No pictures or video can do it the proper justice it deserves. This is a beautiful glass flecked pink with a very glass smooth appearance.

When I first saw it in store, I thought it was similar in finish to Catch Me In Your net. As you can see, they are a tiny bit similar, but not much.

All in all, still two nice polishes. One was sort of misleading but is still a keeper in my opinion and the other was a surprise out of left field!
Also, a quick sneak preview! I received this from my order on Nailogy.com and as far as I can tell, I'll be using these over everything for the next few days!!!

Ok, now that's it from me for today. Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Comparison: Revlon Perplex Vs. Chanel Paradoxal and a small haul :D
Hidey-Ho Neighbor-inos! Well today I have a couple of things to tell you about. First I'll show you my haul from yesterday. It was a teeny tiny one and I'm ashamed to admit that I only went shopping because I have no patience for things ordered online.
So first I guess I should tell you that I'm even more obsessed with makeup than I am with nail polish. Although my makeup spending has drastically reduced, I have enough to last me a few lifetimes :( So I'll spare you the makeup I got at the Sephora inside my JCPenney. But instead show you the OPIs I got at the salon inside JCPenney. I was really surprised they had some Katy Perrys left and the Texas collection. In fact, they had a full display of the Katy Perrys, it just wasn't full with all the colors. Teenage Dream and Black Shatter were completely out, but the slots were filled with Not Like The Movies and Last Friday Night. I snatched up the last one of The One That Got Away. It's so pretty in real life!
Also, they were having a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off on all OPIs at the salon as well, so I got 4 total at JCPenney.
I also went to Ulta to claim my reward certificate. They didn't have any Katy Perrys left at all, but they did have the Serena Williams duo with Black Shatter and Simply Smash-ing!. They had also just put out the China Glaze Crackle Glaze Collection and were running low on the Texas collection. So here's what I ended up with from Ulta:

Now, on to the comparison! I've been meaning to do this for a while! It's Chanel Paradoxal and Revlon Perplex. I just wanted to apologize first for the sheet marks on one nail. Apparently I didn't wait long enough to go to sleep after I put these on :(
But moving right along! Both pictures are out in direct sunlight. The order of the polishes is (from L-R) Perplex, Paradoxal, Perplex, Paradoxal.

These are so close! The only difference that I could see was that the Revlon seems to be more pigmented than the Chanel. In these pictures the Revlon is 2 coats and the Chanel is 3. It still seems like the base color on the Revlon might be darker, but I honestly think it's just the whole pigmentation factor.
In real life, nobody could tell I had on 2 different colors. They look pretty much identical to the naked eye. So if you have Perplex and can't justify spending the money on Paradoxal, then don't worry about it, you've got a pretty good dupe! My local Ulta still has tons of the Revlons. But I've also heard of people finding them at their local Big Lots for $1. So, it might be worth a shot to check that out if you still don't own this but want it!
Well, that's about it from me for today! Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope this was helpful. Expect to see a few more haul posts within the next week and a half or so as my online orders from last week should start coming in soon ;) Have a wonderful and safe evening and hope to see you again!!!

Sea Turtles and Hearts!
Hello. Today I have no polish for you. Sorry :( Instead I bring you the 2 newest members of my makeup collection. First up will be the Chantecaille Sea Turtles Palette. This lovely thing has been taunting me since December when I saw Temptalia's post about the Chantecaille Spring Collection.
Now, I decided to jump on this for 2 reasons. The first reason being that back when Chantecaille released Sylvie's Personal Palette (which you can see here even though it's no longer available), I wanted it but decided to wait until I saw several swatches. Well, by the time I saw enough decent swatches, it was sold out. So, yeah, I waited too long and I've been bummed about it ever since.
The second reason is because it's adorable! I mean, look at it. The turtles on the product definitely make this 20 times more appealing, don't they? I mean, don't get me wrong, the colors are pretty, but nothing spectacular. And in my opinion they lean more on the warm side, which would not work for everyone, right? Thankfully I'm neutral to warm and can pull almost anything off. So, this time I said, no more Chantecaille regret. Anyway, enough with the jibber jabber, here are the pictures!

The stand out colors in the palette for me are the blush and the blackened green for sure! What do you guys think, wearable for you? The palette retails for $79 on the Chantecaille website and 5% of the proceeds are going to WIDECAST to help with Sea Turtle conservation. It doesn't seem like a lot, but if you take into consideration all the palettes that are being sold, it's probably going to be a nice contribution altogether.
And now moving on! I also took advantage of Amazon's Gold Box deal of the day a while back and got a Stila Make Me Blush Palette (not the set with lip glazes that was sold at Sephora) for $14. That's the retail price for the blush, but for some reason Amazon is selling it for $24. Regardless, I am an Amazon Prime member and the 2 day shipping is really awesome and worth the membership fees if you ask me. It's already paid itself and more. But back on topic, unfortunately, my first one arrived broken. So today I got the new one. And it is so cute! Well worth it if you ask me, because it is 9g for $14.
If you want to take advantage of the retail price, I'd suggest checking your local Sephora (my Sephora inside JCPenney had this in stock) and Ulta or you can purchase it online at the Macy's website since it is sold out on the Stila website. I've seen some websites suggest the Physician's Formula Happy Boosters blush as a good/less expensive substitute but in my opinion they're not. If you just want something with the hearts design, then yes the Physician's Formula might be good for you. But if you're like me and you're a coral blush fiend then the Physician's Formula will not do as theirs is Rose, not coral like the Stila.
But check it out. This blush is crazy cute and the hearts aren't just the colors, they're etched into the product.
Look at the different colored hearts. The gold is just overspray and I imagine wiill go away with use to unveil colored hearts. But so far I only see 3 colors, pink, peachy pink and red.

So that's it! What do you guys think? Did you also purchase these? Do you like them? Do you plan to get them? Or are you just not into them? I'd like to know your opinions! I have nothing else to show you for today so I hope you guys are happy to get over 'hump' day, thank you for stopping by and have a nice evening!

Here I have a size comparison with a MAC eyeshadow pan. The Chantecaille pans are 3g!

Clarins 230
No you're not seeing things, I can now say after several years of wanting this that I finally own Clarins 230! What's so special about this polish you ask? Well, it's kind of beautiful! The shimmer is amazing and reflects yellow, orange green or red depending on the angle. It is a rainbow in a bottle. Here I am wearing it layered over Orly's La Playa because it's very sheer on it's own.

Now, I couldn't quite capture it all too well for the video. But I'm going to post it for you anyway.
So what do you guys think? Worth the hype?? I certainly do think so :D Thanks for stopping by!
