Ebay haul swatches

Etude House and Skin Food swatches ahead!

Etude House BL019. Blue and holographic glitter in a jelly blue base. This is gorgeous in real life. Three coats and very easy to work with. I love this brush too! Cute bottle. What more could you want?! Seriously. Get. This. Now.

Etude House PK021. Multicolor iridescent glitter including holographic glitter in a pink/magenta jelly base. It is one of the prettiest polishes I've ever seen. I swear I felt my heart constrict. LOL I want to say this has edged its way into my top 20 polishes of all time. Three coats and very easy to apply. You know how there are those glitters that just don't want to work with you and spread out evenly. Well, not this one, it was a dream to apply! I love this one even more than the BL019 (blue). The multicolor glitter cinches the deal for me. I want like 10 back ups of this!

Etude House WH004. Multichromatic flakies in a blackened base. The flakies shift from green to blue to purple. This one was really tough for me to photograph. Three coats and no formula problems.

One coat of Lynnderella Bride of Franken over WH004. Um. Holy smokes!

Etude House WH012. Scattered holographic glitter in a blackened base. Three coats and no issues. I expected more holographic but it does not translate onto the nail very well. I mean, just look at it in the bottle!

LUCIDarling Twinkling Purple. Fine magenta glitter and sparse holographic glitter in a clear base. One coat over Etude House WH012 and the other picture is over OPI Honk If You Love OPI. I tried to use this alone but the glitter is very fine and I was not able to get opaque coverage. I didn't really like it over the dark colors. I will have to try it over a similar color to the glitter.

Etude House BL505 Blue. Vibrant blue with subtle purple duochrome. You can see it in the third picture if you enlarge it. I think this might be a dupe for OPI DS Magic. Very very sparkly and pretty nonetheless. Three coats and no issues with the formula.

I was able to do quick swatches before posting this. Left to right (pinky to index) is BL505 Blue, OPI DS Magic, BL505 Blue, Orly Lunar Eclipse. BL505 Blue is just a tad darker than Magic and Lunar Eclipse (those two are identical by the way). BL505 Blue is less sparkly than the others too. The first picture is one coat and the second is three coats each.

First picture is with one coat of Lynnderella Bibbitty Bobbitty Boo Blue while the other are with two coats.

Etude House GD011. I am wanting to call this a dirty olive gold with holographic glitter. Three coats. It is pretty but I am not loving it.

Etude House WH020. Multicolor glitter in a clear base. The majority of them being pale blue and purple, which gives it an overall lavender effect. Three coats and I got very good coverage. Beautiful but the pink/blue version of this collection just takes the stage over this one to me.

Skin Food BL505. Green apply jelly. It took four coats to even out and get opaque. It was a little streaky for me, but I can forgive it for being a green jelly!!

One coat of Revlon Galaxy and CND Teal Sparkle over BL505. Not one of my favorite combinations. lol.

Skin Food BL512. Forest green with blue shimmer. The shimmer is very strong! It is almost hard to see the green in real life. Three coats and a dream. I love this one! I have to say that I like the Skin Food brush. I didn't have to try very hard to get a nice gap.

Skin Food Kiwi. Can you tell I love greens yet? I really loveeeeeeeee this one. This was four coats.

First two pictures are one coat and the third is two coats of Lynnderella She Lived in a Swamp. I think this is the perfect base for this glitter.

  2. Oh my, so many pretties! I may have to lift my self-imposed eBay buying ban and track some of these down.

  5. Missha also has a black holographic that doesn't translate well to the nail. I halved it with clear and it looks much better now. Might be worth a try with the Etude House.

  7. I probably should have explained that these are Asian brands. Also, if anyone was interested I purchased them from this seller: http://myworld.ebay.com/prettychristmas

Sachie-It does!! It has a sort of ethereal feeling.

Kate-I might have to try that! Thank you. :)
