Chippy OPI Dulce De Leche
Soooo, this week has been busy :( All 3 of my kids are sick and now I'm also sick. So I managed to get one lonely picture of my nails. It's one of my favorite colors ever, OPI Dulce De Leche. Of course, it had to chip within a day of applying it. So I apologize for the chips, but atleast they're tiny, right?

Thanks for looking!

Illamasqua Elope
Unfortunately for us state side addicts, this color is not available as a part of the Sephora Illamasqua collection and can only be purchase through their UK website. I had the pleasure of swapping with an international lady who was kind enough to get this for me. Elope is a kelly green jelly and as some of you know, jelly finishes tend to be on the sheer side. So, I did four coats with this one, which I believe it made it a deeper green than it shows in the bottle, but it is still a lovely color nonetheless. The formula was okay, not as good as some of their other colors but still nothing too bad to worth mentioning. It dries matte and pretty quickly.January 25, 2010
Care Package!!
Look at what I found in my mailbox! This sucker was pretty heavy too as I trudged back to our third story apartment. As soon as I opened it my eyes honed in on the Hi-Chews and I savagely ripped it open and started to munch on them, while unpacking the rest of the goodies. Oh Jen, I love you...
LUSH Snow fairy smells amazing! I just want to eat it, literally. Jen got me a bunch of WnW polishes so I could franken with them (Woot woot!). Also two American Apparel nail polishes, although I'm sad that they've recalled all their polishes due to mislabeling or something of the sort. It makes me a bit disappointed because I was planning on hauling a bunch of them when I am in SF next month. I really hope they don't change the bottles because I heart the square bottles.
Below are some pigments from TKB trading and I think I am going to try these out in frankens! Hopefully it turns out well.
That's all folks! I hope you enjoyed and now it's time for me to go play. :)
Essie Canyon Coral

I was still in the mood for something bright after Chinoise so I decided on this! Canyon Coral is a very vibrant red coral that dries fairly glossy considering how neon it looks. Indoors it looks fairly red-orange, which I am totally loving right now. There were no application issues and the formula was quite easy to work with. You could get away with one coat if you don't mind a little visible nail line, but I usually do two coats for good measure.

OPI Designer Series Treasure
This color reminds me so much of goldfish! It's so pretty. The only downside is that it's pretty sheer. I used 3 coats here. And actually, my middle finger has 1 coat of OPI Brights Power (orange creme) underneath. Which is why it's darker than the other fingers. But still, it's a gorgeous orange with golden shimmer. So prepare for too many pictures of it, cause I think it's beautiful.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Chinoise
This is the first time I've ever worn a red nail polish! At first I didn't even recognize my own hands but I think I've grown to like this one very much. I love how bright and vibrant this is. Chinoise is the perfect ripe tomato red with no application issues. It practically applies itself! I used two coats and if you look closely enough you can still see some nail line but I was satisfied enough with two to opt out for a third coat.
Absolutely Alice, of course you can get a Grape Pop if you're as Mad As a Hatter!
Yeah, you're probably wondering, 'WTH did you do to your nails?' Well, the truth is I got these 3 colors on the same day and couldn't decide which to use first. I wanted to use them all at the same time, but didn't want to do skittles. So, I thought, why not do something a bit more creative? I was initially going to do a funky french, but remembered that I suck at doing even lines. So I settled on this idea. It actually looked a lot neater in my head. But the truth is, I LOVE the combination of glitter and cremes. Of course it does help that both Mad as a Hatter and Absolutely Alice are gorgeous!

And here was my NOTD from before the experimental craziness. RBL's Starfish Patrick. I have to say, I wasn't too thrilled with the formula/application on this one. I do love the way it looks against my skin tone. But the fact is I used 3 coats here on top of RBL's base coat (my HG). It's shiny enough, but the polish itself, unlike most RBL polishes was lacking in the opacity department. A lot of the RBL polishes I own are one to two coaters for no VNL. But I've found that Square Pants and Starfish Patrick (pictured below) need more coats to get an even opaque color. And even then, with 3 coats you can still sort of see my nail line.

Overall, still a gorgeous color in my opinion. It reminds me of cantaloupes and summer! I'm not at all ashamed to admit that a woman of my age with 3 kids was drawn to colors like these. Yes, I did join in on the Alice in Wonderland craze and yes I did buy the Spongebob and Patrick RBLs cause I thought my kids would get a kick out of them. But the truth is, all that aside, the nail polishes are still wonderful and I probably would have gotten them regardless. Until next time, thanks for looking and have a great day! :D

Essie Viva La Vespa
This is 2 coats and application was very easy with no problems at all. I believe this is pre-B3free since there is no E on the Essie cap.

OPI Absolutely Alice
OPI Absolutely Alice
Three coats on its own. It is so much more sparkly in real life. I didn't have any issues with application or drying time.
